Eating out

The Lion, Leintwardine - just 5 mins by car, decent food and a lovely setting by the Teme

The George and Dragon, Knighton - historic pub in the Hight Street, Knighton. Everything is gluten-free.

The Horse and Jockey, Knighton
- another old pub in Knighton serving decent food at reasonable prices

The Oak, Wigmore - more of a restaurant but in an old inn, the Oak serves high-quality, innovative food.

The Riverside Inn, Aymestrey - our favourite place to eat because of its atmosphere, service, food and setting, The Riverside wins many awards (it has just won three more, one for the best In food in Herefordshire). Locally sourced food and drink, including from their own allotment,

The Cider Barn, Pembridge - very good food in a 500 year old barn near the black and white village of Pembridge. Outside terrace too, but inside is dark and interesting!

We recommend booking

The best and most popular places to eat are usually booked on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. In addition, it helps the kitchen prepare for the right number of covers.

Therefore, we think it is best to book for availablity reasons but also for politeness.
